Local 237 and City reach new collective agreement

In its December 4, 2025 report, the Lethbridge Herald covered a collective agreement ratified by City Council and IAFF Local 237 for the 2021–2025 period.

The agreement introduced a dedicated EMS division within Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services. The report described an option for paramedics to remain in EMS or progress toward firefighting, supporting more flexible recruitment and career paths within the integrated service.
