The Lethbridge Fire Fighters will be holding their second Rooftop Campout March 12 – 15, 2015 in an effort to raise funds and awareness for Muscular Dystrophy Canada. 6 Fire Fighter/Paramedics will be braving the cold and snow while camping out on the roof of Hudsons Canadian Tap House at 904 2 Ave S.
We invite you to be a part of the excitement and get involved as a sponsor for this year’s event.
Each year, Canadian Fire Fighters support local families affected by neuromuscular disorders and have always been champions of Muscular Dystrophy Canada’s vision of finding a cure in our lifetime.
No other group has done more for Muscular Dystrophy Canada throughout the organization’s 61-year history than Fire Fighters. Fire Fighter fundraising is Muscular Dystrophy Canada’s single most important revenue – raising an astonishing $3 million last year. Because of the steadfast support of Fire Fighters, Muscular Dystrophy Canada is able to provide services and equipment while relentlessly searching for a cure through well-funded research.
With the support of Fire Fighters, Canadians with neuromuscular disorders can continue to lead independent lives and reach their own goals. If you have questions, would like to hear more about this event, or would like to show your support, please contact me at (587) 220-7520 or e-mail me at email@example.com
Thank you for your time and your consideration of this request. I hope to hear from you soon.
Together…let’s make muscles move!

WHO: Members of IAFF local 237 as well as the general public are invited to participate in this event in a gesture to observe and honour those brothers & sisters and victims that were lost on September 11 at the site of the WTC attacks.
WHAT: The idea of this stair climb is to retrace the ascent (and descent) of the 110 stories of the WTC – this equals 10 “laps” of The Lethbridge Center Tower.
Members can approach this task in anyway they prefer; gym strip, turn-outs, team, timed, etc., but please take your own level of fitness and comfort into account.
You are not obligated to get pledges to participate in this event but if you can convince friends and family to support your climb through any sort of donation it would be much appreciated. Here is a pledge form.
Please RSVP firstname.lastname@example.org of your intent to climb and indicate if you require any equipment
Lethbridge Firefighter’s Charities helped out with McHappy Day May 7th at westside McDonald’s. Almost 20 off shift Fire/EMS personnel sold raffle tickets, helped serve food and drink, and gave tours of our antique fire truck at the event. One dollar from every McCafe Drink, Happy Meal, and Big Mac sold at all Lethbridge McDonald’s locations was donated to the Family Centre Society of Southern Alberta and Ronald McDonald House Charities. This year McHappy Day in Lethbridge raised $19,613. GOOD JOB Lethbridge!
